Point Lobos - Vacation Part #2

Point Lobos has been called "the greatest meeting of land and water in the world." I'm not sure where this quote came from (besides the obvious ... the state parks' website), but during the Chef Family visit to Point Lobos, the views, nature and our surrounds were breathtaking! Absolutely amazing. We were within inches of deer, squirrels, quail, and could almost touch the sea lions in the water.

We knew our visit would be something special when we pulled into a parking lot that looked like this (see below). TONS of cars.

These were not just regular cars, they were cars full of divers and diving equipment. It was such a neat experience to see the divers first hand. If you look closely you can even see a few buoys in the water where the divers were diving. With the beautiful water and cliffs, the reefs, apparently, are amazing.

Just a few more pictures from our stop to Point Lobos.

Do you see the deer just to the right of the Iron Chef?

Lining Up

First of all, Schleich animals are quickly becoming Ms. A's FAVORITE toy to play with right now. Although she still loves Little People, they have taken the back burner this week while she plays with her new animals.

And, being a mom, I love them as well. They are gender neutral, multi age toy - perfect for little ones. She can be full of imagination and use her creativity with this. Love love love it!

Second of all, lining. Yes, as in a line. A line 'things' or in this case, a line of animals. You can tell Ms. A is learning about order or obsessions compulsive issues from genetics.

Lining up for birthday cake.

Lining up for lunch.

Ms. A will move the animals all around and adjust them until they are "just so." I'm not sure what to think of this quite yet.

A Little Birdie Told Me Someone's OVER THE HILL!!!

Apparently someone is an old geezer now!:) Happy Birthday, JNS! Ms. A, our favorite, wanted to send a special wish for her Papa on his birthday ...

You held me when I was little.

I've fallen asleep in your arms while on vacation.

You've taught me about working hard.

And showed me a few things about the game of golf.

And now I can officially say my Papa has joined the old man club. He's fifty years old today! Happy Birthday, Papa!
