Practicing trick or treating

Our second trip to Bishop's Pumpkin Farm so the Iron Chef could take Miss A on another train ride.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween from The Chef Family!!!

One Last Heat Wave

With the cold weather rolling into California, The Chef Family website needed to do one last post about our excellent Mexico vacation.

A few pictures of the beach, reef, and sun around the resort.

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat was such a fun experience for Miss A. She loved the costumes and thankfully, the rain held off until we were just cleaning everything up from our event. This is an annual event the local moms club - LMAKT (Lincoln Moms and Kids, Too) hosts every year and as usual, it was another successful Trunk or Treat.

Parents decorate the "trunks" of their cars and the kids go around from trunk to trunk and "trick or treat."

The Chef family decorated.

The huge line of "trunks" and everyone getting their treats.

Enjoying pizza, prizes, and games.

Belly Photos - Mexico Style

Here are a few 25 week belly shots from during our vacation to Mexico. Everyone keeps asking for new pictures, so here they are.

25 weeks ... sporting the bikini and all. Haha, I couldn't believe it; however, my maternity tankini was too large in the bust area and wasn't feeling comfortable.

Here I am getting a drink from the swim-up bar for my husband.

Yes, my back is starting to hurt.

Here I am with my two babies - Ava and Baby-to-be-Sheffler.

Vacation Through a Toddler's Eyes

Although this was not Miss A's first vacation or first flight, it was her first time out of the country. The Iron Chef wanted a tropical vacation, so tropical vacation we took. The weather was beautiful (despite a few rainy afternoons from Hurricane Paula), the resort was incredibly large, and the beach absolutely beautiful. We had a great time indeed. Here's a few snapshots from our trip, through the eyes of a toddler.

She built sand castles and played in the sand.

Experienced baby sea turtles first hand.

Made tents and wished she could romp around naked all day (it was a european "style" beach)

Loved her Dora suitcase from her great grandparents and carried it around almost everywhere, including the airplane terminal.

Splashed around in the ocean, the water parks and splash parks.

Enjoyed spa like treatments with her "bathrobe" and slippers.

Spent time with her Mommy and baby sister (in mommy's tummy)

Was incredibly spoiled by her Mimi and Nana.

Danced around like a crazy girl and stayed up way past her bedtime every single night.

A sample of the "food" she ate every night. She was always so confused why the waiters would "take my food away" ... it was a challenge to get her to eat so she played almost every single meal.

Enjoyed snacks on the beach.

Colored pictures, made bracelets/necklaces and had fun in the Barcy Kids Club doing craft projects every single day.

Definitely many wonderful memories were made from this vacation!

Feeding the Fish

Feeding the fish directly in front of our resort.

Sea Turtles

One of our FAVORITE memories while on vacation in Mexico. Newly hatched baby sea turtles. They were just as cute as you can imagine.

Our resort found these eggs along their shoreline and placed them in a protected area. The Iron Chef was walking along the beach and saw the eggs were hatching. He came running back and grabbed us to see the amazing sea turtles.

Halloween Cheese Ball

Me: "Hey Miss A, smile for the camera, please."

A: "No. Read books! (although she is smiling as you can see with a smirk on her face).

Me: "Can I take a picture of your Halloween outfit?"

A: "No!" (cheesy smile and half shut eyes)

Me: "How about you stand up and smile for the camera?"

A: "Ta-da!"

I guess this is the best photo I'm going to get. At least she had fun with this photo.

My Little Artist

Lately Miss A has been drawing circles. And more circles, and more circles. The other day we pulled out the art supplies and she drew different colored circles on her pieces of paper.

Here's her fancy artwork.

Baby Belly Update 24-Week Pictures

I love my bump, I love my bump, I love my bump. 24 weeks and counting. I had another doctor appointment yesterday and all is going well. The ultrasound pictures measured about a week behind, but the doctor says we're keeping the original date of Jan 26th for my estimated due date. I'm gaining weight at an alarming rate and these pictures don't due justice to how big my belly truly is this time around. I have one more 4 week appt and then I start visiting my doctor every 2 weeks. I can't believe how quickly this pregnancy has flown by!

Ultrasound Pictures

These are pictures from my 20-week ultrasound. A little delayed, so I finally took pictures instead of purchasing a scanner. Here they are:

Baby Chefs' profile picture

Spine and Head

Thigh, Knee, Foot - looks like long skinny little legs

Foot (look closely)

Elbow & Fist with a side profile on the head

Face (look closely)

And lastly, the famous "3 dot" picture indicating a girl. According to the ultrasound tech, there were definitely no boy parts present, just girl. :)
